BBC Radio 2 Chris Evans: Driveby
A rather typicla radio podcast. A well spoken man introducing the show over rather 'jazzy' background music. We then listen to Chris Evans as he introduces himself and talks over the background music about what the show is going to be about. After he finishes talkin, the back ground 'jazzy' music stops to sining of 'Chris Evanns Show!'.... The music then finishes completely and this brings the listener to have a more personnal relationship and understanding as he talks to his guests.

Radio 2
Starts with a more sophisticated jingle.. more strings and less bass than radio 1. Perhaps more appealing to the older age groups. The guest is genereally of a different genre music to the interviewees off radio1 for example Will smith in this case. Singer of the old hip hop classics and the most famous actor at the moment. This sort of person being interviewed is likely to appeal to the target audience more than the latest djs on the scene which would be picked up by radio 1. The base tune is a bit more classical aswell witht the use band like instruments and keeping voices more clean, rather than enhancing the sound which gives the feeling of a more electro sound which has been adopted by radio one. The person leading the interview is also a lot more clear and well spoken than the likes of Chris Moyles who debates with his guests in contrast to radio 2's clear questions.

The first podcast i am studying is the RADIO-1 kissy sell out interview.
The first thing that you notice about this is the electro sound with the dj talking over the jingle. Due to the style of the podcast; a very much dance oriented theme is important as the podcasts jingle needs to be similar in terms of beat and style to what is going to be played. The jingle lasts a few seconds and then the flat beat in the background as the dj talks and introduces the the guest in this case 'kissy sell out' is put in. As the interview begins to end the particular song from the djs gets put into place slowly getting louder, then just before the big bassline of the song the interview ends leaving the listener with the sound of the song.
